Builder-Buyer Agreements

Drafting and review of builder-buyer agreements

⏱ 3-5 days 📁 Property Development & Building

Overview

A builder-buyer agreement is the primary legal contract between a property developer and a buyer, setting out the obligations of both parties from booking to registration, and it is one of the most important documents in any under-construction property purchase. We draft and review builder-buyer agreements to ensure they are fair, RERA-compliant, and clearly define the developer's obligations on possession timelines, construction quality, common area handover, and penalties for delay. Our review protects buyers from one-sided clauses that waive the developer's liability, impose unreasonable charges, or allow changes to the approved plan without consent. We also negotiate amendments to standard builder agreements to better protect our clients' interests.

Documents Required

Draft builder-buyer agreement from the developer
RERA registration certificate of the project
Approved building plan
Allotment letter from the builder
Title deed of the land (to verify builder's ownership)
Identity proof of the buyer
